Plant Controller

The Plant Controller is the financial business partner for leadership at the facility. This individual plays a pivotal role in overseeing financial operations and ensuring the successful execution of our plant’s strategy. This requires a forward-thinking individual with a strong financial background and a keen ability to adapt to change. The Plant Controller will work closely with plant management and cross-functional teams to provide financial insights, drive cost control, and support strategic initiatives.

Job Description
What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Develop, manage, and analyze plant financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Provide accurate and timely financial reports to support decision-making and track performance against transformation goals.
  • Analyze variances between budgeted and actual results, identifying opportunities.
  • Monitor and control plant costs, including production, labor, and overhead expenses.
  • Implement and oversee cost reduction initiatives and process improvements.
  • Conduct detailed cost analysis and recommend strategies for cost optimization.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic reforecasting efforts.
  • Collaborate with leaders to set financial targets and ensure alignment with objectives.
  • Evaluate financial performance and provide insights to support strategic planning.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews to maintain financial accuracy and integrity.
  • Address any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
  • Act as a financial partner in the plant’s operational initiatives, providing financial analysis and support for new projects and process changes.
  • Facilitate communication between finance and other departments to ensure smooth implementation of transformation plans.
  • Monitor and report on the financial impact of transformation efforts.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:We would love to hear from you if:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA certification preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Controller or similar financial management role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting, financial analysis, and budgeting processes.
  • Experience in managing financial aspects of significant organizational changes or transformations.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
