Century Mold Appoints John Pinson as CEO

Century Mold, headquartered in Rochester, NY, one of North America’s premier injection molders, announced today that it is naming John Pinson as its new CEO. After a distinguished 21-year tenure at Century Mold, Ron Ricotta will transition from CEO to Chairman of the Board on December 1, 2023, having steered the company to annual revenues of over $225M.
 
“I’ve had a rewarding, 45-year career, and it’s time to step into the role of Chairman as a new CEO takes this great company forward,” says Ricotta. “After an extensive, national talent search, we’ve found the ideal executive to continue Century Mold’s growth story.”
 
John Pinson brings over 30 years of leadership experience in the automotive industry, beginning his career at General Motors and most recently serving as the CEO of Stanadyne, a leading Tier 1 automotive supplier. He earned a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State and an MBA from the University of Michigan. “I’m thrilled to join this successful operation,” says Pinson. “A key focus for the company will be leveraging our scale to capitalize on prevailing North America onshoring trends to further strengthen our position in the markets that we serve.”
