Job Responsibilities:
CM is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manger to join our team in the plastic injection molding industry, specifically focused on non-automotive sectors such as consumer goods, packaging, medical devices, defense, and powersports. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in Tier 1 or 2 sales, with a strong understanding of plastic injection molding, processes, materials, and customer needs across various industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- New Business Development: Identify and target potential customers in the non-automotive sectors requiring plastic injection molding services. Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
- Account Management: Manage and cultivate relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business, upselling of additional services, and customer satisfaction.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets, revenue and profitability goals
- Customer Consultation: Work closely with clients to understand their product design, material requirements, and project needs, offering customized solutions that align with CM manufacturing capabilities.
- Proposal Development: Prepare detailed proposals, quotes, and presentations based on customer requirements and CM manufacturing capabilities.
- Market Research: Keep up to date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and stay competitive.
- Collaborative: Work closely with internal teams, including engineering, program management, operations, and quality to ensure successful project execution and delivery.
- Reporting: Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and insights to senior management on sales performance, customer feedback, and market trends.
- CRM: Prepare, update, manage, report all sales activities in Salesforce or similar database.
Qualifications:Qualifications:
- Proven experience in Tier 1 or 2 sales, preferably within the plastic injection molding industry
- Strong knowledge of plastic injection molding processes, materials, and manufacturing techniques
- Experience selling to consumer goods, packaging, medical devices, defense, and powersports industries
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to understand technical specifications and translate customer needs into viable solutions
- Self-motivated, with a strong drive to succeed and achive sales and profitability targets
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university or 7 – 10 years of related experience in sales, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite to include SharePoint. Advance Level competency of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required. Ability to learn new software as needed.
