About the Role:
Century Mold is seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to expand our market reach and drive growth through strategic partnerships in new industries like consumer goods, packaging, medical devices, and recreation products. Our Pulaski, TN facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology to serve a diverse range of clients.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Develop and execute business strategies to grow sales of plastic injection molding services within non-automotive sectors such as medical, consumer goods, industrial and packaging.
- Identify, engage, and cultivate relationships with prospective clients, purchasing managers, and key decision-makers.
- Leverage existing industry contacts and a robust network to secure new business opportunities.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive positioning.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (engineering, production, and quality) to align customer needs with manufacturing capabilities.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements to maximize revenue and profitability.
- Representing the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to enhance visibility and build partnerships.
- Monitor and report on sales performance, pipeline growth, and customer feedback.
- Report on sales, forecasting and probabilities.
We would love to hear from you if:
- Proven experience in business development or sales within the plastic injection molding industry, specifically outside the automotive sector.
- Strong network of buyers and purchasing managers in relevant industries.
- Exceptional negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to analyze market trends and develop targeted sales strategies.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Strong technical aptitude in understanding the injection molding process is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite to include SharePoint.
- Basic to advance level competency of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required. Ability to learn new software as needed.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university, or 7 – 10 years of related experience in sales, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
