Manufacturing Manager Job Description

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner.

• Responsible for adhering to and maintaining all quality system procedures and requirements related to the position.

• Adhere to all safety rules and company policies, as well as enforce the compliance and implementation of each through subordinates.

• Attendance/punctuality: is consistently at work and on time; ensures that the Attendance Policy is enforced consistently through subordinates.

• Excellent communication skills required in order to effectively lead and support employees and to motivate, encourage, and inspire employees.

• Responsible for the overall performance, quality, training, development and supervision of Machine Operators of a three-shift operation.

• Responsible for all Team Leaders and Group Leaders.

• Responsible for Scheduling using MRP/ERP system for molding facility; ensure we are running correct products at correct times, safe launch is completed timely, or other off the press activities are completed timely to ensure customer gets quality product on-time. Ensure PR’s/samples are completed timely.

• Plan daily activities of operations support staff, including press set up technicians; plan set up times with scheduling to ensure products run efficiently and timely.

• Prepare and document with key input from the Plant Manger all yearly performance evaluations for direct reports and lead same process with Team Leaders to complete for the their direct reports.

• Report daily, weekly and monthly operations KOMs to Plant Manager.

• Ensure all daily shipments to customers are completed in timely manner.

• Responsible to prioritize press activity based on ever-changing customer demands.

• Negotiation with support staff to meet ever-changing customer demands.

• On-Site Customer assistance during quality issue.

• Actively attend safety committee meetings and provide input and support relating to environmental, health, and safety issues

We would love to hear from you if:

Bachelor degree or equivalent; or seven to ten years related experience and/or training in plastic injection molding and/or plastic’s manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; TMM Operating System; Ability to learn new software as needed.

Pay Range: $80,000-$110,000/yr
